Texture Modified Diet Initiative is a Winner at the 2013 National Health Care Awards

The Phoenix Park Community Nursing Units (PPCNU) located on the grounds of St. Mary’s Hospital in the Phoenix Park won Nursing Home of the Year at the 2013 National Healthcare Awards. The awards which recognise excellence and best practice in Ireland’s national and community healthcare sectors were held at the Royal Marine Hotel in Dun Laoghaire on the 8th of March. The winning submission comprised a number of projects with a central theme of fostering a good quality of life for residents, recognising the need to promote and maintain independence, dignity and wellbeing in their new residential home. One of the projects; the Textured Modified Diet Initiative was a collaborative work involving the Dietetic, SLT and Catering departments.
