Spring Seminar for the Association of Lactation Consultants in Ireland

675 625 bf lgThis year's Spring Seminar of the Association of Lactation Consultants in Ireland takes place on March 13th in the University College Hospital, Galway. The day promises to be a stimulating one; highlights will include a talk on ‘Herbal Medicine and Breastfeeding’ by Dr Dilis Clare, who is a Consulting Medical Herbalist and GP. Anne Marie Oglesby, a Clinical Risk Advisor, will be giving a talk entitled ‘Documentation & Standards: Legal and Ethical Considerations’. This will relate directly to the afternoon sessions of group work, on the theme of documenting lactation support. Other speakers include Mary Toole, Maura Lavery and Mary Mahon.

The day (including lunch and other refreshments) will cost ª35 for ALCI members or ª45 for non members before February 26th, and ª45 for ALCI members and ª55 for non members thereafter or on the day. For information see www.alcireland.ie or email ALCI@ireland.com.

ALCI is a voluntary organisation who hold a Spring Study Day, an Annual Conference and other study events each year to offer continuing education for Lactation Consultants and all other health professionals who work with mothers and babies.
