Ingredients

4 small bananas
8 tsp honey/maple syrup
12 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder

Baked banana with chocolate sauce Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celcius
    Bake the banana in its skin in the oven directly on the oven shelf for 10 minutes, or until the skin is
    black, turning halfway through the cooking time.
    Meanwhile, heat the honey in a small saucepan over a medium heat for 2-3 minutes or until very
    runny.
    Add the cocoa powder and stir until smooth and chocolate-like.
    Keep warm.
    Remove the banana from the oven and leave to cool slightly.
    When cool enough to handle, remove and discard the skin and transfer the banana to a serving
    plate. Pour over the warm chocolate sauce and serve immediately.
