Hospital Key Account Manager
Medical Nutrition
Full Time, Field Based covering Dublin and South Leinster

Nutricia Advanced Medical Nutrition, the largest specialist nutrition company in Europe, is dedicated to the development, production and provision of advanced medical nutrition products to people with specific medical conditions and special nutrition needs. We operate in a number of areas including oral and tube nutrition, paediatric nutrition, oncology, diabetes, food allergy and inborn errors of metabolism.

The Hospital Key Account Managers build and drive the Nutricia Medical business in Ireland by promoting the nutrition product range and services to Hospitals. They build relationships with a wide range of health care professionals and other key influencers within hospitals. They work closely with the Nutricia Medical Marketing team to ensure campaigns are successfully implemented, and participate in the organisation of educational meetings and study days.

The Role
Nutricia Advanced Medical Nutrition are currently recruiting for a field-based Hospital Key Account Manager. Nutricia Advanced Medical Nutrition offers a dynamic working environment, with a strong emphasis on training and development.

Key responsibilities of this role include:
• Promote and support the Nutricia Medical range of products to clients and stakeholders within the hospital network
• Monthly review of hospital sales figures to target activities
• Exhibit Nutricia Medical product ranges at relevant HCP meetings
• Actively pursue continued educational development by attending relevant study days, reviewing medical literature and latest best clinical practice in conjunction with the Nutricia Medical Nutrition Department
• Identify opportunities to grow the business and develop plans to secure new hospital contracts
• Liaise with distributors and wholesalers to ensure maximum product availability

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Human Nutrition / Dietetics, Nursing or Science. Experience of selling to the Hospital sector is desirable, but not essential. To succeed in this role you will have strong communication and influencing skills, demonstrate initiative and enthusiasm, and the ability to establish trust and credibility in a professional setting.

Hospital Key Account Manager

Abbott Laboratories Ireland Limited was established in 1946 and is responsible for the sales, marketing and distribution of a wide range of nutritional, pharmaceutical, hospital and diagnostic products. Based at Citywest Business Campus in Dublin, it currently has over 120 employees.

Abbott Nutrition has a vacancy for a Hospital Key Account Manager reporting to the Contracts Manager.
The successful candidate will manage key hospital accounts in Dublin and the south of the country.


Primary Objectives
- To develop and maintain the nutrition business in target hospitals using key account management principles.
- To develop relationships and support key opinion leaders & groups of healthcare professionals.
- To work with key stakeholders in the preparation for and management of hospital contracts.
- Involved in the development and implementation of marketing plans.

Education & Experience 
-  Relevant third level qualification e.g. Dietetics.
- 3 years’ experience working in the healthcare environment.

Key Skills 

- Excellent customer services and influencing skills. Passion to succeed.
- Keen information/territory intelligence gathering ability.
- The ability to work co-operatively and effectively with others to establish and maintain good working relationships.
